An order from one of my favourite artists arrived today, so I thought it'd be a perfect timing to have that as my first real post on here. Pretty sure already that music will be one of the subjects I'll write the most about, it's super close to my heart. Feels pretty odd to write about Green August when it's a few days in to September already, but I'll listen to this song all year round so let's go.
Nina Nesbitt is one of the most talented & realist artists out there, no doubt. She's been doing a small project for a few months, which consisted of fans DMing her stories, which she then turned into songs. Songs I Wrote About You. She then named the project Life in Colour, since she's doing a small UK tour with the songs this autumn. She wanted to do a small tour before she's releasing her album, which she's currently working on.
This is my second CD of the four that's been released. They go pretty fast, since it's limited to only 100 CD's. The first one, Ontario, was even limited to only 50. The first CD I got a hold of was Los Angeles, the third one, which was for Blue July. Now my second one, Manchester, is for Green August. Yellow September will be the last song for this project, I'm really hoping to get that one too. Would be a nice finishing touch for myself to get the last three, even though I wish that I could get a hold of all of them, of course.
Manchester is a lyrical masterpiece, one of the most powerful songs Nina has ever made. The contrast between the beat & her beautiful vocals are nothing but amazing. I have endless love & support for this woman, she keeps blowing me away with her amount talent. SO ready to see what she'll release next.
Welcome, Yellow September.
